Djey a member of the french TDU community, realsed a new mod, called Magic BNK. This is another milestone towards modding TDU successful. What the tool does is to disable the BNK size check from the TDU engine. The Benefit is that people can replace any BNK with any other, without worring about the byte size of the BNK's. This comes very handy for the upcoming and new cars, and opens the modders a another new door as they are no longer limited by the given BNK file sizes. The tool is tested out online and is fully save to use.

I uploaded the File to our Tools & Files area. go get it while its hot.

On 31. of July, Oleg published a new Update for his ZMod2 Modeller Software. This Update includes the special ability to import and also to export 3d meshes to TDU. In other words, you are finally able to modify Meshes. Oleg suggests that this new filter is more or less only for advanced users that know what they are doing.

The Game was created on 11.07.2006 at a time of 18:32 or 19:32. You can prove these dates when you check the last modification date of the original Eden files from your TDU DVD!

So happy 2nd Birthday TDU, hopefully many more years come!

Long things comes for those that wait. As I discovered is the US marked able to purcase the TDU Mega Pack. for only 19.99$

The Ultimate becomes real. After waiting for good a year, does Atari (EU) finally aounce that a carpack for the PC TDU is coming.
It should be include massively 46~ new cars and a Bike.

The Pack will probally cost 9,99€ (I think that could be around 13,83$ be allthougth the price may change)

The realse date is not comfirmed yet but its comfirmed that you can only purcase this Megapack only via download. (I guess via online paying the Atari Shop and downloading from there)

After doing my personal reseaches I found out that the XBox has by this time around 46~ to 50~ DLP cars. Could be possible that we get there DLP Content from Pack 1 to 6. This is anyhow not comfirmed.

It took us long but finally we can show of our brand new Car sounds area, with new sounds for the TDU cars. And if you have a sound made yourself, feel free to upload it!

I browsed the Atari Forums (German / UK and US onces) and came suddenly about something intresstign across, that I like to let you know:

Now after the TDU BNK Repacker tool appeared. Did now two diffrent people say that they started to work around with the TDU file System and that they probally make some Editing tools by now for TDU. They say they are quite far ahead with there work already, And they both did yet not show up any kind of provment screenshots of user made cars or a preview shot of a tool.
Sinces the TDU community is full of rumors, could this guys maybe just pullout another unfunny joke. But then the BNK Tool proved that TDU is not imposible to mod. And maybe it is trule.

As soon I know anything more about thise rumors I let ya know

Now some good news for a change, a nice new tool has been created. It's a .BNK Packer/Unpacker. This allows us to replace sound files in the existing game. As the Author himself says, he is a TDU player first and a modder second. The motivation of this tool was to be the first to be able to replace engine / car sounds with new better oncs. These do not affect multiplayer.

So please be fair and do not use this tool to hack performance files or anything that will affect the multiplayer gameplay of TDU, thank you. In the name of the Author and the whole TDU online community.
